NASW-VT CEU Approval
Thank you very much for choosing NASW VT for your CEU application approval.We are committed to ensuring workshop and training opportunities for licensed mental health professional are of high quality, promote best practices, and address the varied professional development needs of a skilled workforce.
There have been a few changes to our approval application and process including a “rush” option and guidelines for non-live distance learning. Please also note that CEUs are good for one year and you may repeat the same training using the same CEU number as many times as you like. Applications may be updated and/or renewed for a reduced, flat application fee.
When you have your workshop’s CEUs approved through NASW VT, if desired, we will place your training information on our website’s event calendar and send one free email blast. On the application there is a spot for you to indicate a date you would like information sent to social workers and allied professionals on our email list. Please note we cannot guarantee the date, but it will be close. We encourage you to send us a flyer in pdf format that can be uploaded. You may also purchase advertising space in our quarterly newsletter or additional email blasts.
The following pages include directions for filling out the application and the application itself. Please allow four weeks for approval. Rush applications can be completed in 7 business days.

CEU Application Process

Please include the following application materials:
- Content outline
- Learning objectives
- Qualifications of presenter
- Method of evaluation
- A detailed schedule of the training
- Proof of attendance
Please allow a minimum of 30 days for individual review. Upon review, NASW-VT will send you a letter approving or denying your request, based on requirements outlined by the state and NASW. This letter should be kept on file as proof of CEUs for licensure renewal purposes.
Continuing Education Participants
If you’ve participated in a continuing education (CE) program, not pre-approved for CEUs, you may apply for credit here.
The fee is $15 for members, $35 for non-members.
