“I’ve been an NASW member in multiple states since earning my MSW in 2013, and I’ve always valued the opportunities for training, growth, and networking with fellow social workers that NASW offers. I have served on the NASW-VT board, as Secretary for the past year, and as a Board Member for the year prior. I’m currently part of the steering committee of our newly formed Social Justice Committee. The thing that I enjoy most about being an NASW member at this current time of political controversy and dissent, when the spotlight is shining ever so brightly on social injustice in our country, is the opportunity to be a leader in social justice causes within my community. We are forming bonds and relationships with other organizations and working together to support our clients, our neighbors, and ourselves. NASW helps give me the outlet and the platform to be a true agent of change and supporter of the marginalized in my community.”
